Encountering Satan
Have you ever had an encounter with Satan or demons? I believe the Bible teaches us that Satan is an actual person not just an evil force. He has a mind, a will, and emotion. He will be cast into the lake of fire according to the book of Revelation. If he is real, have you ever encountered him? I have. I have had many encounters with the demonic. I will be sharing some of them with you on the next series (Stomp). I would like to read some of your encounters with the Evil One. Perhaps your experiences will be similar to mine. Pastor Tim
Encountering Satan
I have several experiences that I could talk about one sticks in my mind the strongest. I was in my teens and I was driving to the bank. I was at a red light and saw a girl from my High School walk by my car. I had a crush on her then. I wished that she would notice me and that is when I heard the voice. My radio was loud so it wasn't that, I heard the voice say, "Submit. Submit and all is yours."
I was not saved at that time and I asked for God to help and it stopped.
a demonic encounter
I remember the first time I had a demonic encounter. I was in 4th or 5th grade. I woke up from sleep (it was the middle of the night) and at the foot of my bed was a witch. She had a witch's hat, a black cloak, and was holding a broom. To this day, that moment was the scariest moment of my life. I was frozen with fear. I know what I saw, how I felt, and what I experienced. Do I believe in demons? Absolutely! I look forward to our ministry on spiritual warfare in the days to come. Pastor
the supernatural
I haven't had an encounter with demons, but I did see an angel once when I was little. My parents were about to go through a bad divorce so the family was sort of a mess. I remember by mom was sitting in the front room and I looked down the back hall and saw a glowing figure of a man. I looked away, then looked back and he was still there. then he walked into my parents bedroom. I was scared but finally worked up enough courage to go look back there and he was gone. I told my mom about it and she still remembers me telling her about the angel in the back hall to this day!
Middle of the night encounter
A house doesn't have to be old and spooky to be possessed. Many years before I was saved, I lived a very 'normal' life full of sin. I thought I was a good guy and that my sins were small compared to real 'bad' people such as murderers and robbers. an Demons were in my house and one night as I was sleeping in the family room on the sofa, I woke up and felt an eery presence around me. I quickly turned around, and not knowing why, opened the door wall leading to the outside deck. I felt this presence ( I now know it was a demon) rush past me and out the door wall. I shut it and went back to sleep wandering what it was.
I thank the Lord that he saved me and my family from destruction and I praise His name.
