Day 29

Help Me Lord!

John 10:14-15 NIV

“I know my sheep and my sheep know me– just as the father knows me and I know the father – and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

Devotion

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Sometimes the only prayer I have left is “God, help me!” In Isaiah 41:10, He says He will help you. Psalm 118 says “The Lord is with me, He is my helper.” The old testament says “He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword.” God will fight for you. He will protect you. He watches over you.

What kind of help do you need today? Are you in need of healing, provision, mending a broken relationship? Cry out to God in prayer today. He promises to help you. Maybe you’re waiting for word and haven’t heard from God. Well, his timing is not our timing. His ways are not our ways. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Trust the Lord today. Know that He has a great plan and purpose for you. He will help you!

Quote

“If your day is hemmed in with prayer, it is less likely to come unraveled.”

Scripture

“What happiness for those whose guilt has been forgiven! What joy when sins are covered over! What relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has cleared their record. There was a time when I wouldn’t admit what a sinner I was. But my dishonesty made me miserable and filled my days with frustration. All day and all night your hand was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water on a sunny day until I finally admitted all my sins to you and stop trying to hide them. I said to myself, “I will confess them to the Lord.” And you forgive me! All my guilt is gone.”

Psalm 32:1-5 TLB
